Back to University.
After completing an Art foundation last year at Salford, today was the first day back at Uni after a four months holiday. Back to early mornings! As a research trip all BA Graphic Design students were told to meet at Urbis and then go on to explore the many other galleries around the city of Manchester. These included: Magma Bookshop, Richard Goodall Gallery, Manchester Art Gallery, Cornerhouse Gallery and a few others. Whilst walking from Magma Bookshop to the Richard Goodall Gallery in the northern quarter I noticed an urban canvas painting in one of the shops on Oldham Street. The shop owner told me the artist was named ‘Belin’. I later looked him up online to find his website. When looking at his website I found another urban painter I found even more interesting, named ‘Myrhwan’. I like the way this street artist uses a very cartoon/ illustrative style. His style also consists of bright attractive colours and bold outlines which make them stand out. His portfolio of work can be found at this website: http://www.belinurbanart.com/profiles/myrhwan.htm
